Under the general supervision of an administrator, a day porter will implement sanitation and safety protocols to ensure the cleanliness and disinfection of the facility. EXEMPLARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wipe down/sanitize all touch surfaces (ie: door handles, hand rails, lockers, tables, chairs, benches, etc.) primarily following student use and throughout the day such as after students return to class or after meal periods.
- Wipe down/sanitize bathroom doors and seats.
- Spray/Sanitize outdoor areas following each recess.
- Wipe down/sanitize trash can lids.
- Assist maintenance crew as needed, but not at the expense of disinfecting.
- Assist admin and teachers as needed, but not at the expense of disinfecting.
Education/Experience : High school diploma preferred.
Knowledge of : Cleaning and sanitation preferred, but will train.
Skill at : Creating a sanitary and safe environment for all staff and students. The ability to establish and maintain a high standard of cleanliness. Effective utilization of cleaning tools and solutions to disinfect and sanitize all surfaces. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with teachers, administrators, and other staff members.
