The Extended Day Program Staff position is integral to the success and high quality standard of childcare in the NDA Extended Day Program. The Academy of Notre Day strives to provide its families with secure, engaging, full-service, safe, healthy, consistent, age-appropriate, and customer serviced based childcare after the school day, as well as on occasional no school days. EDP Staff ensures a nurturing and safe environment in addition to providing enrichment opportunities for student participants.
?Supervise students in the Extended Day Program for PK- grade 8 students Monday- Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
?Administer programming that supports the school mission and offers fun and enriching experiences for students
?Ensure observance of NDA rules at all times, ensuring a secure, safe, and healthy environment.
?Ensure that COVID19-related practices are followed -i.e. maintaining a minimum of three feet of distancing between masked
students (seated and 6 feet apart when not wearing masks or eating), use of divider shields, hand-washing, wearing of mask
except when eating, wiping of desks/tables between use, watching for symptoms of illness.
?Conduct engaging, age appropriate enrichment and outdoor activities as weather permits.
?Provide regular quiet time daily for older students to complete homework.
?Accompany PreK and K students to restrooms.
?Ensure proper parent/guardian sign-out of children (by adult only) and keep accurate records in Veracross.
?Communicate with parents as necessary, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
?Keep a binder of emergency information for every child in attendance on any given day, including same day emergency add-ons.
?File a written report of any injuries/accidents/incidents/disciplinary issues to Supervisor the same day. Communicate
emergencies to Supervisor by phone or in person immediately.
?Maintain clean and safe environment in EDP room and any other spaces utilized by EDP students.
?Ensure that student helpers are not left alone in the building with students.
?Other responsibilities as assigned.
