Job Description

What do you do all day?

At NMSI, our people mean everything to us, they are the lifeblood of the organization. Without our staff, NMSI is just an idea. As a key member of the Human Capital Team, the Coordinator, Learning and Development will play a critical role in supporting the functions that enable our organization to execute on our learning and development strategy. Specifically, the Coordinator, Learning and Development will support critical work streams around logistics for NMSI trainings, meetings, retreats, and other learning opportunities.

The Coordinator, Learning and Development reports to the Manager, Learning and Development. This full-time role is based out of Dallas, Texas.


What are the details?

  • Planning, Logistics and Execution
    • Lead operational efforts around NMSI Nexus and Team Summit, NMSI’s annual org-wide retreats
    • Coordinate logistics of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council Meetings
    • Coordinate logistics and support planning of NMSI Leadership Development Series
    • Coordinate logistics of Town Halls and Brownbag seminars, including room set-up, and PowerPoint creation as needed
    • Support development of PowerPoint decks and coordinate details related to monthly staff meetings
    • Oversee planning, logistics, and execution of NMSI’s Annual Holiday Party
  • Staff Engagement Survey
    • Administer the Staff Engagement Survey twice a year
    • Provide action planning support, including data analysis, of survey results
  • Annual Planning
    • Support development of resources, as well as support process improvements
    • Support internal coordination among teams of dates and activities with Annual Planning
  • Goals Management
    • Create resources related to org-wide and team goals management, including stepback decks, ongoing tracking resources, and support materials
    • Support goals monitoring throughout the year (i.e. monthly, quarterly, and on an annual basis)
  • Supporting coordination of Senior Management Team and Executive Team Meetings
    • Send out calendar invites
    • Take meeting notes as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Education & Experience – You have a bachelor’s degree and have worked in a professional capacity for at least three years; previous operations experience with trainings is a plus
