Position is to work 1:1 with elementary age students with autism, under the guidance and supervision of a master's level lead teacher and board certified behavior analyst from New England Center for Children. Duties wiill be to implement an intensive skill-based program grounded in the principles of applied behavior analysis.
This position in not within the Claremont Support Staff bargaining unit, but is a district position. Pay range is $18-24 per hour, depending on experience.
Successful applicants will be expected to attend a training in behavior management techniques, remotely on August 10-12; in person (if distancing restrictions are lifted) on August 13 and 14, as well as a new employee orientation from Aug 18-21 and 24. School begins on August 31st. These days will be compensated separately from from the 182 student/professional developement days.Job Summary:
Daily duties include providing direct instructional services to students, collect data on skills and behavior and implement specific behavioral plans. Weekly duties include entering and graphing student data and participating in program meetings and trainings. Monthly duties include meeting with lead teacher and NECC clinical supervisor for assigned student and preparing data for monthly family meetings. Quarterly duties include providing information for IEP progress reports. Annual duties include contributing to the developement at an annual IEP (if applicable).Qualifications:
Candidates with experience in behavior management in any setting are prefered. Experience working in school settings preferred. Candidates without this experience may be considered. Candidates must have two years college credit equivilent or be able to pass the Parapro test. Looking for team players, willing to take instruction on methods of Applied Behavior Analysis, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
