Job Description

READS Collaborative is seeking a speech language pathology assistant to fulfill a full-time, in-person position (approximately 30 hours) in a local school district for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. SLPA would be providing services to elementary students, grades preschool through 4.

The position would primarily include direct and consultative speech services to elementary students. The following outline of the role and responsibilities is intended to provide a broad overview, but is subject to change according to the needs of the school district, as required by the Superintendent of Schools.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide direct and consultative speech and language/communication services to students
•Adapt instructional techniques to the age and skill levels of students.
•Maintain thorough student records to document attendance, participation, and progress, ensuring confidentiality of all records.
•Use data to write students' progress notes and to update goals and objectives for students with IEPs
•Establish and maintain standards of behavior to create safe, orderly, and effective environments for learning.
