The Culture Team Member will support the Dean of Culture in supervising student conduct on the school campus, ensuring a safe environment for staff, students, and visitors.
Esperanza College Prep School is a new charter high school powered by Ednovate from USC that opened in August of 2017 in the East Los Angeles community. Our mission is to create a school that will empower our graduates to use their college degrees and careers to make a positive multigenerational change. Through our unique approach of building college-ready mindsets, personalizing learning with technology and instilling a deep sense of purpose in our students, we will change the educational and life outcomes of nearly 500 students from the Eastside of Los Angeles. Our innovative approach to teaching and learning allows students to learn at their own pace - accessing curricula through digital platforms - and places teachers in the most impactful learning moments - in small-groups, coaching and one-on-one. Redesigning the high school model requires that staff members be willing to respond to feedback and data in real-time, reflect constantly on the impact of their actions and not take themselves too seriously.
The Culture Team Member will ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals on and around campus. This will include monitoring students on and around campus before, after, and during school hours. It will also include working with our Dean of Student Culture to maintain a positive and safe learning environment. The Culture Team Member must embody our core mindsets and be active participants in the staff community. They will be responsible for enforcing our school-wide student code of conduct with 100% consistency along with all school staff. Team members will engage in lively debates around planning, student learning outcomes and school culture. They should neither shy away from conflict nor accountability to results as measured through student learning outcomes and strategic plan goals.

This is a full-time hourly position that will begin in July 2019. The hourly wage is competitive and commensurates with experience. A competitive benefit package is included.
