Work hours are Monday - Friday 8am-5pm August through May.

Classification: Nonexempt

Reports to: Center Director

Supervises: Gives input to Center Director on Assistant Teacher performance

Position requires one of the following:

Current Center Based Preschool Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or;

State of Alaska Seed Practitioner Level 6 Certificate or;

An AA or BA degree with at least two (3) credit courses in early childhood

Applicants who do not possess a degree in early childhood or related field must agree to take additional classes to meet Head Start Teacher Qualification Requirements.

Starting Salary:

CDA/SEED Certificate $17.59

Associate's Degree $19.49

Bachelor's Degree $22.57

Graduate Degree $24.11

Introductory Period: 90 Days
