Noble is Chicago’s highest-performing and largest network of public charter high schools. Our 18 schools and 1,300 employees currently serve over 12,300 students, 98% of whom are minority, 89% low-income, and 83% first-generation college goers. The School Quality and Rating Policy scores for the Chicago Public Schools rated Noble campuses as ten of the top fifteen public high schools in the city. We believe our people are the most valuable asset in preparing our students to be successful in college and lead exemplary lives. For that reason, we are looking for the best talent in education.
Who We're Seeking
The Dean of Culture (DoC) at The Noble Academy is directly responsible for ensuring that our school has a culture and multi-tiered support systems that lead to the provision of an optimal learning environment for students as demonstrated by our Noble Culture Audit and promotion rates. This is accomplished by leading a culture team of members dedicated to ensuring that all expectations are clear and met in all spaces in the school building and surrounding area. Additionally, it is accomplished by ensuring meaningful student experiences through restorative detention experiences, re-entry family meetings, and student mediations. The DoC is a member of the Administrative Team and Multi-Tiered Student Support Team and is responsible for detentions, suspensions, and school-wide culture support and interventions.
Roles and Responsibilities
The DoC works collaboratively with the Administration around discipline promotion criteria and school culture, both positive and corrective. The DoC will have the autonomy to think creatively about how to achieve goals and will be held accountable to results through management by iteration.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
