Job Description

InnovateHealth Yale, a program of the Yale School of Public Health, seeks a curriculum development specialist to improve upon a social entrepreneurship curriculum developed for high school students. The curriculum writer will use evidence-based practices to craft a comprehensive social entrepreneurship curriculum for area high school students.


This professional will ideally have experience with entrepreneurship, teaching, and coaching.


This is a contract, project-based, remote position. While timing is flexible, we anticipate this project beginning in June 2019 and taking 4-6 weeks. The successful candidate will be given a base curriculum and will work with InnovateHealth Yale staff to revise and refresh it according to the deliverables below.


Deliverables will include:

  • Revising a current social entrepreneurship curriculum to make it easy for any teacher to read and implement for varying levels and time blocks (e.g. for high school students within a regular class period, for high school students as an afterschool enrichment program, for 60 minutes, for 30 minutes, etc).
  • Creating visually-appealing PowerPoints for each lesson.
  • Designing an accompanying teacher manual and workshop to train teachers in the curriculum.



Required Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or Instructional Design or equivalent combination of education/job related experience.


Preferred Experience:

Experience working in an instructional design position and/or creating/running a social enterprise.
