Who We're Seeking

The Dean of College is responsible for equipping scholars with the knowledge, skills and exposure necessary to apply to, matriculate to and graduate from college. Responsibilities for this 12 month role include, but are not limited to:

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Understanding of hierarchy of college programs and fees
  • Caseload management:
    • Assign team caseload responsibilities for most effective approach
    • Manage various steps from college research to college matriculation
    • Strong understanding of graduation rates for our students, fit factors, financing opportunities for all students profiles
    • Ability to identify alternative post-secondary options and resources
  • Staff management: able to manage a team; clearly communicate, conduct effective team meetings and one-on-one’s
  • Coordinate college visits and build relationships with admissions representatives at colleges
  • Effectively communicate with and create buy-in from various stakeholders into the college process: parents, students, teachers, and advisors
  • Identify early college programs and funding during the school-year and summer for 9th-11th grade students
  • Fore relationships and distill college knowledge to 9-11th grade students in innovative ways
  • Effective data analysis skills
