AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps VISTA are national service programs that engage individuals in an impactful and highly engaging year of service in their communities. Montana Campus Compact engages with colleges and universities across the state to support campus and community partnerships that bolster student success and meet important community needs. Members serve for a variety of reasons, from wanting to make the world a better place to discovering a life-changing adventure. Service members gain the kind of real-world experience they can't find in a typical entry-level job. Members apply their skills and knowledge to serious social problems and discover previously untapped strengths. During your term of service you will be doing everything you can to create and expand programs that ultimately bring individuals and communities out of poverty. MT Campus Compact AmeriCorps and VISTA national service positions place individuals for service on campuses or with nonprofit organizations to serve in ways that open pathways for individuals to post-secondary education opportunities and school success. We are currently hiring individuals to serve in a variety of settings working with youth or adults in direct service activities such as mentoring and academic coaching, or doing capacity building work with campuses and nonprofit organizations.
These positions are year-long positions that start in either July or September. AmeriCorps and VISTA service members receive a modest living allowance plus an Education Award worth $6,095 upon successful completion of their service year.
