Job Description

The Impact Director leads the creation and implementation of the site’s service and AmeriCorps member development strategies, providing the tools and resources necessary for the Impact Team to deliver high quality service that keeps students in school and on track while also developing AmeriCorps members’ leadership and citizenship skills.

The Impact Director leads the creation and implementation of the site’s service and AmeriCorps member development strategies, providing the tools and resources necessary for the Impact Team to deliver high quality service that keeps students in school and on track while also developing AmeriCorps members’ leadership and citizenship skills.

1. Whole School Whole Child (WSWC) Implementation

Implement a multi-year WSWC support plan that is aligned with site goals and individual school improvement plans:

§   Develop AmeriCorps member (ACM) deployment plans

§   Coach impact team on how to use lead measures to monitor school progress and support school efforts

§   Support teams in achieving lead measures on enrollment and dosage

§   Work with regional impact support team to customize WSWC to best meet individual school’s needs and maximize impact

§   Participate in observation and coaching as part of an observation team with the Impact Manager (IM)

§   Provide suggestions and ideas to IMs on service delivery based on interactions with school administration, teachers, ACMs

§ Develop hours plans and performance improvement plans for those CM’s need more support to complete graduation requirements

2. School and District Partnerships

Oversee the implementation of school engagement strategy:

§  Coach IMs on how to build school relationships by understanding and meeting teacher and school needs

§  Support IMs in adapting the model where necessary to meet changing conditions and needs

§ Partner with IMs to ensure agreements are  signed

3. Corps and Staff Development

Use performance management process to coach team members to meet individual development and performance goals; support IM in developing and coaching corps:

§  Coach IMs on foundational competencies and strategies for success

§  Support and advocate for professional development of direct reports

§  Support IMs in competency coaching of ACMs

§  Support Learning and Development calendar of corps, including strategy, analysis, and implementation

§ Advocate for and invest in own professional development

4. Compliance with Government and Grant Obligations
Lead Impact Team in achieving compliance goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required  
  • Management experience strongly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to translate project goals into a plan and effectively leverage available resources to meet goals and timeline while keeping track of details
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage up, down, and across all levels of the organization
  • Proven success building sustainable partnerships and positive working relationships with others
