KIPP is a non-profit network of 224 college-preparatory, public charter schools across the country educating early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school students. There are currently 15 KIPP schools across the Bay Area educating nearly 6,000 students in East Palo Alto, Oakland, San Francisco, San Lorenzo, San Jose, and Redwood City and supporting over 3,000 alumni around the country.
The Facilities Manager will join KIPP Bay Area Public Schools during an exciting phase of growth and development. Reporting to the Director of Facilities Management & Planning, the Facilities Manager will be an integral part of a newly developed Facility Management Strategy. This includes partnering with principals and cross-functional departments to follow through on work order tickets, project management, and ongoing relationship management, that ensures all KIPP schools have safe, quality learning facilities and are financially sustainable.
The ideal candidate for this position has expertise in facilities management, project management experience, familiar with leasing, as well as effective relationship building and communication skills.
The Facilities Manager is based out of our Regional Office in downtown Oakland (BART accessible), with periodic travel to our local schools and communities throughout the Bay Area – including San Jose, the Peninsula, San Francisco, and the East Bay. This new position is available immediately.
