Senior Manager – Central Pipeline Team
Flexible Location

TNTP seeks a full-time Senior Manager to join our Central Pipeline team. This position is based in a home office anywhere in the U.S. or from the TNTP central office in New York and is available immediately. Occasional travel required.

Staff on TNTP's Client Team work alongside teachers, school leaders, districts and states to help them achieve their goals for students. TNTP’s Central Pipeline team attracts high quality, diverse talent to teaching and school leadership through TNTP’s Teaching Fellows programs, PLUS programs and other partnerships with school districts across the country—all to ensure we can meet the needs of kids across the country by supplying, training, developing and retaining the best teacher and leader talent.

What You’ll Do
As a Senior Manager you will lead Central Pipeline Team projects to recruit and select high-quality, diverse talent for teacher and school leader pipelines. For each contract you will develop a vision and strategy, monitor progress and ensure the work is on track to meet goals, and coordinate communication and collaboration among stakeholders. You will both design and oversee implementation of projects, and develop the capacity of TNTP’s internal and external clients to plan and execute effective recruitment and selection campaigns. You may also lead team initiatives to drive specific components of the work, such as creating new strategies in increasing the locality, diversity or quality of the
candidate pool.  You will serve as a pipeline expert and be a sounding board and thought partner to TNTP at large.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop a vision and strategy for pipeline contracts aligned to client goals and priorities
  • Track and report on progress toward contract goals
  • Design and implement strategic interventions for recruitment and selection as necessary
  • Develop recruitment and selection tools and resources in real time to respond to client needs
  • Ensure all of our projects are committed to producing a diverse workforce and implementing an equitable and inclusive process
  • Ensure clear, efficient knowledge sharing and collaboration between the Central Pipeline Team and clients
  • Proactively share knowledge and learnings with other teams that manage recruitment work at TNTP
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations
  • Manage staff who execute recruitment and selection strategies for the Central Pipeline Team

  • Advise staff and leaders on recruitment and selection strategy and best practices. You’ll regularly partner with TNTP staff and education leaders on our partners’ most pressing pipeline challenges. You will leverage your understanding of our partners’ work context, constraints and priorities to advise on the most effective teacher and/or school leader recruitment and selection strategies in alignment with goals.
  • Be a natural problem-solver. You anticipate challenges and opportunities within your work as it relates to our partners’ and TNTP’s goals and priorities, and quickly generate creative solutions to meet evolving needs.

  • Experience leading teacher and/or school leader recruitment, selection and cultivation
  • Knowledge and experience with diversity, equity and inclusion best practices in teacher and/or school leader recruitment and selection
  • The ability to critically assess challenges and identify effective solutions
  • The ability to work effectively with others at all levels of an organization and to consistently display a high level of professionalism in all interactions
  • Flexibility in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment of rapidly changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with team members on a large, fully virtual central team
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong staff management experience or instincts (preferred)

TNTP offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position with the potential for an annual performance based bonus. We offer a comprehensive benefits plan, covering the majority of the employee premium for the base medical plan and subsidizing the majority of costs for a spouse/domestic partner and children.
