In this position you will be responsible for maintaining the general accounting process. Primary/Essential duties and responsibilities Abide by generally accepted accounting principles and internal procedures and controls to protect and preserve the Company's assets. Ensure the timely preparation of meaningful financial and government reports, which accurately and fairly reflect the financial position of the Company . Record, monitor, and report financial activity. Monitor and ensure accuracy of 90/10 position. Prepare daily cash deposit. Assist campuses with Daily Cash reconciliations Prepare mailings and priority shipment labels for the company. Prepare account analysis. Verify accuracy of general ledger. Prepare and distribute consolidated and campus financial statements. Provide data to auditors and tax accountants as requested Assist in the design and implementation of general accounting processes. Monitor cash receipts. Back up for daily bank transactions. Special projects and other duties as assigned. Perform Accounts Payable duties as assigned Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and one-three years related experience preferred, or equivalent experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Prior experience with financial accounting software applications. Strong Excel skills. Ability to achieve results. Commitment to quality. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and generate alternative solutions. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from top management, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. English will be the primary language used; bilingual abilities useful but not required.
