101 Edu is seeking a Chemistry Curriculum Writer (General/Intro Chemistry Content Author; GOB Content Author) to help author and review content for 101edu's next-generative active learning platform, Chem101. Our ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in chemistry with a passion for providing engaging, high-quality and effective resources in support of teaching and learning needs of college professors and students. This role is a contract position that will work remotely in the US. Responsibilities include: Design clear and reliable questions, solutions and feedback that target potential student misconceptions and enhance student understandingReview chemistry questions for content accuracy and functionalityAble to manage content with attention to detail and minimal mistakesRespond to feedback, and resolve content queries prior to publicationConduct any necessary research regarding curriculum, teaching strategies, and standardsCollaborate with colleagues to create and improve content Qualifications: Masters or Ph.D. in Chemistry2+ years experience teaching general chemistry, introductory chemistry, GOB (general, organic, and biochemistry), or organic chemistry courses at the college or university levelStrong written communication skills and comfort with technologyMust be self-directed and able to handle multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlinesExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong technical computer skills with the ability to master new software systems is a plusMust be proficient in Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite, ChemDraw or other chemistry drawing programsExperience using online homework platforms in a college setting is desirableExperience creating digitals products in publishing is desirableBe based in the US and able to work remotely If you are currently teaching or have prior experience in the classroom, and can collaborate with a team to ensure quality content, please apply and send us a copy of your CV or resume along with a cover letter.
