At Rocketship Public Schools, we are unleashing potential. The Associate Recruiter is a critical part of the Talent Team at Rocketship. Our success as an organization is dependent on having excellent teachers in every classroom who are responsible for ensuring that all students achieve at or beyond grade level and each school is led by a team of visionary school leaders to achieve the school's mission of eliminating the achievement gap. Talent Sourcer responsibilities include: Searching, identifying and messaging candidates while meeting weekly and monthly goals. Interacting with potential candidates on social media, professional networks and in real time (e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed & Career Fairs) Responding to candidates and connecting them with next steps in the process. Coordinating with hiring managers to determine position requirements. The sourcer is key in identifying and messaging exceptional educators who align with Rocketship's core characteristics and can serve as teachers and school leaders. Responsibilities Sourcing, Cultivation, and Screening: Facilitate an exceptional recruitment experience for all candidates Partner with Lead Recruiters to identify recruitment needs and implement strategies to develop recruiting pipeline Continually hit target sourcing goals established on a month by month basis (number of messages sent, messages accepted, cultivation calls, offers and hires) Utilize creativity and independent judgement to implement 'outside the box' recruiting techniques to source candidates through the use of the internet, social media, and other online resources (Indeed, LinkedIn & Career Fairs) Work independently to screen candidates through resume reviews, cultivation calls & phone interviews Run recruitment and selection events including, but not limited to, Interview Days and Job Fairs Maintain candidate records and track recruitment metrics (e.g., candidates yielded by each source, time to hire, etc.) to evaluate and improve hiring efficiency Requirements: Knowledge & Skills Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills to inspire top educators to have an interest in and eventually join Rocketship Public Schools Ability to effectively use search engines, job sites, social networks, and other tools Strong interest in developing eye for talent in the education sector Requirements: Experience Has worked with children in some capacity Teaching experience strongly preferred Previous experience in recruitment, selection, admissions, or other human capital work; recruitment, political/social campaigns, fundraising and or telemarketing experience preferred Requirements: Fit Deep commitment to Rocketship's mission of eliminating the achievement gap Alignment with core characteristics required of every Rocketeer: pursuit of excellence, innovation, community, tenacity, and authenticity Data driven and goal oriented An entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for joining a fast-growing team There are two positions available, one based in Nashville and the other in the San Francisco Bay Area. Willingness and ability to commute to support schools, collaborate with Rocketship staff, and support recruitment and selection efforts.
