City Year Boston is seeking an Individual Giving Director who will lead efforts to secure financial support from individuals and families in the Boston area as well as manage the Individual Giving team. The Individual Giving Director partners with Site Leadership and the Development team to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward individual donors and family foundations. The Individual Giving Director will focus on building the overall individual donor base to raise increased resources, and ultimately, serve more students in Boston. This position reports to the Managing Director of Resource Development & Marketing and manages two Individual Giving Managers. The Individual Giving Director will work collaboratively with the Major Gifts Officer, Executive Director and the Development & Communications team to raise the profile of City Year Boston and our individual giving programs and work seamlessly with the Major Gifts Officer to cultivate, solicit and steward a robust pipeline of Red Jacket Society prospects. Responsibilities Donor Acquisition Strategy: Create and implement a strategic plan for identifying and cultivating new individual donors, with a goal of securing $8M in total individual/family foundation support at scale. Take lead on soliciting leadership gifts and multi-year investments and collaborate with corporate team to leverage individual support from corporate partners. The Mental Health Provider will serve one to two school sites which may include schools in San Jose, Redwood City, Concord, or Antioch. We work at every level of the public education system to attract and train talented teachers and school leaders, ensure rigorous and engaging classrooms, and create environments that prioritize great teaching and accelerate student learning.   Staff on TNTP's  Consulting  team  work  alongside teachers, school leaders, districts and states to help them achieve their goals for students.  We work to  help educators, schools, and school systems expand access to opportunity for students.  Partners on the Consulting team  focus on   supporting  systems to provide equitable, high-quality opportunities to students by growing our talent and academics consulting work .     What You’ll Do   The  Partner  is a critical leader at TNTP - driving the development of services, managing a portfolio of client engagements or contracts within our  Consulting  team, and serving as a face of the organization to our district partners and external stakeholders. The Partner will advance innovative and nuanced solutions to TNTP’s clients’ biggest challenges and ensure engagements meet client needs and achieve ambitious goals.    Here are some examples of what a  Partner  might do:     Lead complex organizational change efforts  with clients and within TNTP , including the ability to develop a clear vision and purposeful strategy to achieve ambitious goals     Successfully navigate and manage complex and nuanced relationships, including the ability to motivate and influence the decisions of TNTP’s most senior-level clients  Critically assess challenges and identify innovative, effective solutions in ambiguous situations     Bring excellent management skills, including experience effectively managing diverse teams, building inclusive team culture and developing talent to achieve ambitious goals     Have excellent project management skills and an ability to work efficiently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment     Bring experience developing and managing budgets, including financial forecasting and maximizing revenue       What You Bring     We are looking for amazing people who have diverse backgrounds and experiences, are inspired by our mission and are highly motivated to change children’s lives through education. POSITION SUMMARY The Coaching and Curriculum Specialist leads and facilitates change in the instructional practices of Chavez teachers that will result in improved outcomes for all scholars, increased growth and retention of teachers, and the development of a professional learning community across the school.  We seek a coach to support teachers across all grade levels (9th-12th) and subjects. the Coaching and Curriculum Specialist will focus on teacher pedagogy and classroom practices. An ideal candidate will have experience successfully mentoring, growing, and coaching teachers at the secondary level.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Instructional Leadership   Plan and lead school-wide professional development and content team meetings to ensure effective data analysis, monitoring scholar growth, and content knowledge development   Create coaching plans, and professional learning opportunities aligned to school, teacher, and scholar needs   Ensure the learning needs of all scholars are met through direct work with students, including small group intervention and one-on-one student support Coach a portfolio of teachers to improve instructional practices through observation, debriefing, lesson rehearsal, co-planning, co-teaching, and modeling effective instructional practices for teachers   Ensure effective and aligned implementation of curricula and research, and monitor to ensure that high quality products are put in front of scholars Lead teachers in diagnosing specific learning needs and in developing a targeted plan of action to address identified areas of improvement   Support leadership team in hiring effective teachers   Participate and/or lead instructional rounds focused on driving scholar achievement Engage in self-reflection and continuous improvement by implementing feedback from school leadership and participation in network-wide professional development  Curriculum and Data  Select, develop, revise, and monitor implementation of rigorous curriculum aligned to Common Core State Standards (CCSS) Develop and/or modify an integrated set of formative and summative assessments that are aligned to the CCSS Develop a system for capturing, disaggregating, and sharing scholar data for individual teachers and comparatively across schools Provide reports to school leaders and teachers on scholar achievement Review data as a means of informing planning and help teachers and instructional coaches make informed decisions to drive scholar achievement.
