Summary: Reporting to the Chief Education Officer and working alongside the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Director of Special Education is responsible for the development, implementation, and progress monitoring of The Guild's IEP and curriculum services for approximately 80-85 students who are diagnosed with intellectual disabilities (ID), autism, behavioral challenges, and mental health disorders. S/he is responsible for directing the work of three (3) Education Managers, 14 Teachers, and associated paraprofessional staff as well as working collaboratively with other Guild Divisions to build and sustain superior programming for Guild students.
