We are seeking a VP of Product Management with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products and delightful user experiences in the education sector. As VP of Product Management, you will drive the strategy, roadmap and the product plan for Education Cloud. You will take primary responsibility for product across our Student Success and University Operations solutions, and work with colleagues in industry solutions, engineering, design, user experience, and other stakeholders to align on a vision and execute on an iterative approach to delivery. You will lead and grow a team of product managers to realize our vision, and be the primary representative of this product vision and roadmap to internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities: Lead a team of experienced product managers in the development of shared roadmap priorities and a collaborative approach to delivery. Build an organization that raises the bar in the discipline of product management and drives a culture of trust, growth, innovation, and customer success. Hire, retain and groom the next generation of product management leaders on your team. Develop and execute the Education Cloud product roadmap, driving critical capabilities from concept to customer. Create and prioritize a 6 month feature roadmap, in collaboration with customer success, sales, GTM and engineering Engage with customers and partners to deliver roadmap updates, get product feedback, feed that information back into our development process, and identify additional challenges and opportunities. Represent Salesforce as a domain and product expert at customer interactions, industry and corporate events, and through community sites and social media. Create and maintain product requirements and documentation to inform the product lifecycle from idea through release and maintenance. Serve as a marketplace evangelist in the broader software industry. Collaborate across teams. We win or lose as a team. Product management plays a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders. Requirements: 10+ years of professional experience in software product management in a high-growth business, preferably in the education sector. Knowledge of current higher education applications and market need. Track record of creating product with proven customer success marked by enthusiastic reference customers. Experience identifying and addressing customer needs, building relationships with customers, developing an awareness of relevant services, communicating with customers in an organized and knowledgeable manner, and delivering clear requests for information. Knowledge of Salesforce.com platform; Salesforce certifications are a plus. Knowledge of the enterprise application software lifecycle. Knowledge of Scrum, Lean, Agile software development methodologies. Familiar with modern software development practices used to build and deploy web and mobile applications. Strategic thinker who can deal with complexity and conflicting priorities; ability to identify growth opportunities for their product, turn ideas into a roadmap, and execute on it. Top notch written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership, participating in the sales cycle, and handling sensitive customer escalations. Experience with matrixed management and team structures.
