Who You Are: You are an experienced and dedicated Senior Software Engineer who will participate in leading our software initiatives as we look to rearchitect the TrueLearn platform and position for expansion into new market verticals. You will be an important member of the team responsible for the development of our enterprise learning platform. You will have the opportunity to provide significant input into the architecture of the application, enhancements to reliability, and play an important part in the redesign of our learning platform, with emphasis on developing an enhanced API suite and a dynamic client experience. As an ideal candidate for this role, you will be motivated and excited to take on responsibility for large parts of our applications in addition to becoming a strong mentor for the rest of the development team. What You'll Do: Analyze - Work closely with our Product team to understand how to best implement new product ideas Design - Collaborate with your team to produce strategic plans for scalable, highly available systems Build - Hands on work being a direct contributor to building the TrueLearn platform Mentor - Team up with and guide your teammates functioning as a senior leader in the company Improve - We're always challenging ourselves to find ways to do things better You Know: Hands-on .Net Core/Standard Development Experience (up to and including .Net Core 3.0) Advance knowledge of front-end frameworks/libraries such as HTML5, jQuery, SASS/LESS, Bootstrap, Angular, Knowckout, etc. Amazon Web Services Cloud Services (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, Fargate, ECS) Microservices Architectures within Cloud Environments using both REST and AMQP Implementing and working with ORM Frameworks (Entity Framework, Dapper) XAML Interface Design using MVVM patterns in WPF or Microsoft Xamarin Source Control Management systems (VSTS, Git) Unit Testing implementing Mocking Frameworks (nUnit, Moq) Working with and Optimizing Databases such as Microsoft SQL Server 2015/2017 You Would Love an Opportunity to Work With: AMQP Message Queue Systems (RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ) Microsoft Xamarin cross-platform Mobile Application Development Containerization & Orchestration Technology (Docker, Kubernetes) Continuous Integration Systems (VSTS, TeamCity, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild) Inversion-Of- Control and Dependency Injection (Ninject, .Net Core) Multi-Threaded/Async application design in a highly concurrent environment using Microsoft TPL Advanced data serialization formats (Protocol Buffers, Message Pack) Bonus Points: Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP) A strong desire to provide an exceptional customer experience through the work you produce Working with responsive design to work on applications that can be used both on desktop and mobile devices Knowledge of or experience working in Education Technology is a plus Knowledge of common design patterns and pattern-based development Experience working with cross-platform Mobile frameworks (Xamarin or React Native Knowledge) Detail and results oriented and able to prioritize tasks in a multi-tasks environment BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent Awesomeness Compensation Package TrueLearn offers a highly competitive comp package for the Senior Software Engineer role consisting of both salary and the ability to participate in TrueLearn's stock option plan Industry-leading benefits package second to none in the Charlotte area Flexible work hours, self-regulated PTO, and the ability to work from home You'll have the unique opportunity to join a high-performing SaaS company at its early growth stage and work along side of other high-performing individuals who know what it takes to succeed.
