The primary responsibility of the Impact Manager is to manage and provide support for AmeriCorps members, particularly in their roles to improve student performance through targeted academic interventions. Reporting to the Learning and Development Director, the Learning and Development Assistant is responsible for supporting the L&D team in the execution of department related projects as well as L&D related logistics & operations. Responsibilities Learning & Development Logistics and Operations: Support the execution of AmeriCorps Member learning, training, and development. Prioritization of duties will vary based on time of year. Organize and maintain L&D training material and equipment. Support the identification potential venues in SJ or Bay Area for City Year trainings/events that may lead to long-term partnerships. Support day of logistics and operations for L&D lead or supported events, trainings, etc. Set up physical learning environments: equipment, material, tables/chairs, and/or catering Provide high-quality, relevant, and organized content and tools for AmeriCorps Member and Staff learning. The Regional Admissions Manager, located in Kansas City, ensures the admissions needs of the site are met, while supporting the matriculation of a diverse, prepared corps for the entire region. The role implements a consistent process that enables strategic intake, communication / customer service, process management, and placement of applicants at City Year locations. Job Description Implement and Monitor Strategic Admissions and Matriculation Plan – Implement and monitor a strategy and placement process that ensures talent and diversity of applicants across multiple sites within the region. Customer Service Delivery –   Implement a comprehensive communication and customer service plan; Direct responses to general e - mail and telephone contact for City Year locally as well as regionally; and Respond to and route inquiries to appropriate team(s). Reporting directly to the Program Director, as a member of the Program and Service team, the Program Manager (PM) plays a critical role overseeing successful implementation of City Year Los Angeles’ school-based service model. In this role, the PM manages a team of up to 16 City Year AmeriCorps members at their designated school, where they spend the majority of the work week. The PM is an effective talent developer who will lead AmeriCorps members to have a successful and rewarding year of service through civic engagement and a citizenship development curriculum. The PM develops and manages partnerships with the school administration and personnel to ensure the necessary conditions and resources are in place for AmeriCorps members to deliver attendance, behavior, and course performance interventions for students throughout the school day.
