To learn more, visit The Opportunity PCG's Education Consulting service line seeks Curriculum Writers for a highly complex and exciting English Language Arts (ELA) digital curriculum development project in partnership with Chicago Public Schools. The project provides motivated individuals a unique opportunity to support educators and students in actualizing college and career ready standards for literacy, through the delivery of high-quality curricular resources in a digital environment. Curriculum writers will engage in a highly creative, iterative, and collaborative development process and produce lessons that are rigorous, engaging, and meaningful to students. Specific responsibilities and skill/experience requirements are detailed below. About PCG's Education Consulting Service Line PCG's Education Consulting Service Line works with states, districts, and schools to address a wide spectrum of needs such as curriculum development, instructional resources audits, design and facilitation of professional development and professional learning communities, school improvement, and program reviews. Recent project engagements have included the development of the EngageNY grades 6-12 English Language Arts Common-Core aligned curriculum for the New York State Education Department, design and delivery of a system of professional learning for the Connecticut State Department of Education, and the creation of training and resources to support transition to the new standards for the Florida Department of Education. Participate in the development of grades K-5 English Language Arts curriculum, including additional review and challenge lessons to support the development of literacy skills. Optional: Integrate instructional strategies and supports for English Learners. Write lessons and supporting material to specific design criteria and for implementation in a digital environment. Participate in a highly-collaborative and rapid development process, in which curriculum writing occurs in a team environment that includes regular engagement with team members, peer review, and other formative feedback. Availability during regular work week, with some night or weekend work as needed. Must be available to attend client meetings in Chicago on a regular basis. E-learning Developer
This position is for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a creative approach to solving problems who will develop interactive e-learning courses for sales and customers. This includes the entire design and development cycle from audience definition to publication on web sites and in applications. They will adhere to best practices in e-learning development including ADDIE, SAM and CCAF and leverage adult learning principles. This person will work with stakeholders, SMEs and others to plan and execute projects within agreed timelines and budgets. The position will be in an office environment among other sales enablement professionals. The person in this position must be an efficient, organized, team player who produces engaging and informative e-learning. They must be competent in concepts as well as details and be able to work on multiple projects and deadlines to deliver quality interactive learning. This ideal person will enjoy a good challenge, constant learning, building working relationships with team members, and producing top quality e-learning. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Convert existing instructor led training (ILT) courses and power points into engaging e-Learning. Plan and execute e-Learning development projects to support organizational initiatives and achieve objectives. Facilitate subject matter experts (SMEs) through the e-learning design and development process. Publish completed courses to a secure web site, mobile application and learning management system. Perform, capture and master voice work to accompany development projects. Script, coordinate, capture and edit video as required to support e-Learning development projects. Author assessments and surveys for all e-Learning produced to support learner and content evaluation and feedback and support metric generation. Develop e-Learning that uses a variety of methods to engage the variety of learning types and apply fundamental adult learning principles Manage all correspondence with stakeholders, subject matter experts and clients related to e-Learning initiatives such that buy-in is achieved and maintained, objectives are met and assessment of efficacy by way of levels one and two metric capture is achieved. To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following: A B.S. or equivalent experience is required. Solid knowledge of internet and networking protocols as they impact e-learning deployment is required. High degree of proficiency in Articulate Storyline is preferred. Intermediate proficiency with Adobe Captivate 7 or higher is required. Intermediate proficiency with Lectora and SnagIt is preferred. Prior experience developing training for customers and sales is preferred. Intermediate proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
