Collaborate with national City Year network to develop multi-site, regional, and national funding opportunities. Work with staff and key volunteers to develop, execute and evaluate strategies to engage institutional partners through outreach, education, invitations to special events, and personal contacts; support implementation of funded programs and initiatives. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Manager to create and implement donor communications and acknowledgement related to cultivation and stewardship of corporate partners. Prospect Generation Work closely with the Development team and Site Board to identify, engage, and cultivate a robust pipeline of corporate and foundation prospects that can make annual investments at the $10,000+ level. Leverage existing City Year programs, including Team and Program Sponsors, corporate service days, annual Idealist Gala, and specialty market events to attract new partners. Partner with other development team members to identify and leverage opportunities in respective portfolios to help cultivate new relationships (ie: individual leaders within our corporate partnerships, event sponsors that could support at an operational level, etc.) to build a robust prospect pipeline Contribute to and participate in prospecting meetings and pipeline meetings Project and Event Management Work closely with Special Events Manager, as well as larger Development team, to leverage events to meaningfully engage corporate sponsors and prospects. Job Description Responsibilities Civic Engagement Program Leadership (50%): The Development Manager will lead CYSKC’s Civic Engagement Program and manage 1-2 AmeriCorps members. Projects range from a 100+ volunteer project on MLK Day to 10-20 volunteer projects at partner schools throughout the year. Will also collaborate with the Corporate Partnership Manager to secure and steward sponsorships to support these projects. Donor Portfolio Management (30%): Manage and grow portfolio of 50 donor prospects capable of contributing $1,000-$10,000 or more annually. The primary responsibility of the Impact Manager is to manage and provide support for AmeriCorps members, particularly in their roles to improve student performance through targeted academic interventions. The Impact Manager (IM) plays a critical role in implementing the City Year New Orleans’ school-based service model and will report directly to the Impact Director. The IM will manage 8-12 AmeriCorps members and serve as the primary liaison between City Year and their school. The IM will develop and manage partnerships with school administration and personnel to ensure the necessary conditions and resources are in place for AmeriCorps members to deliver high-quality interventions and support culture and climate initiatives. The IM will also work with school staff and AmeriCorps members to implement after-school programming. The IM is school-based, and spends about 80% of their time working out of their placement school. Reporting to the Regional Vice President of the Midwest Region, this dynamic, visionary change agent leads 15 staff members and 80 AmeriCorps members serving in 10 partner schools. Additionally, the Executive Director works closely with City Year Dallas’s local advisory board, comprised of leaders in the public, private, and non-profit sectors of Dallas. School/District Investments: Sustain transformational partnerships with existing district and school leadership and cultivate new transformational partnerships with leaders of future school partners. The Individual Giving Manager (IGM) develops and manages the implementation of the plan to sustain and create new relationships with individual donors and family-based foundations that lead to $1.4 million in total investments. As part of this role, the IGM will be responsible for supporting site leadership with the implementation and expansion of City Year Milwaukee's Red Jacket Society (a donor membership made up of champions who give 10K and above). The goal is to build a robust and active donor and public stakeholder in order to meet long-term fundraising and impact goals. Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic plan, with the Managing Director of Development (MDD) and Executive Director (ED), that retains and identifies new individual and family foundation donors, which reflect their philanthropic interests and community engagement goals. Identify and cultivate sustainable relationships with new prospects and current individual and family foundations, in partnership with MDD and ED, through engaging events, such as City Year Milwaukee’s Thank-a-Thon, site visits, service projects (Kohl’s Back to School Service Day, MLK Day of Service, etc), and communications. Collaborate with the MDD to manage the Red Jacket Society (RJS) Program by implementing creative and innovative strategies to retain existing RJS members and steward prospects. Foster engagement and consistent communication between RJS members guided by the organization’s mission by leading the planning of RJS engagement events. Manage donor information in a data system to identify risks and to ensure City Year Milwaukee’s donor base portfolio is accurate, sustainable and dynamic. Analyze reports and make necessary adjustments to donor bases and annual engagement plans. Support the Development team and site with local organizational initiatives such as MLK Day of Service, Opening Day, Annual Gala and other site-wide designated events and initiatives.
