Overview: The Direct Response Copywriter will join a team of 60 purpose-driven staff members in a friendly, focused, fast-paced entrepreneurial office environment. The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) is the largest collegiate leadership honor society in the United States with over 700 chapters and more than a million members. Members have collectively completed over 282,000 hours of community service. The NSLS is seeking a Direct Response Copywriter responsible for writing compelling copy that sells and creating engaging content. The Content Marketing Manager is accountable for the overall quality of the content product across the entire NSLS organization. More importantly, the Content Marketing Manager is the lead storyteller for every audience NSLS touches. Through strategic marketing insight and experience in developing compelling content, this role plays an integral role in the future growth of the organization. The Direct Response Copywriter position demands an in-depth knowledge of the NSLS business objectives, emerging digital strategies, and has a rich background in the digital marketing industry to deliver effective integrated campaign recommendations. This team member will champion all content development within the marketing department in conveying and delivering a consistent voice of the NSLS. Beyond the strategic nature of the role, the successful candidate will possess an understanding of the functional dynamics of the content role including the management of writing style, subject matter research, writing, editing, and rewriting copy for all campaigns and marketing material. Responsibilities Write compelling copy that sells for both B2B (colleges) and B2C (students and parents). Work with marketing and technology team to fully understand pertinent data points. Track analytics of marketing efforts as it pertains to copy-driven resources. Split test advertising and other marketing campaigns for optimization. Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to create digital and print media advertising. Drive the strategic positioning and voice of the NSLS's nationally recognized level of leadership education. Collaborate with design and marketing teams to create lead content and other deliverables. Think strategically to organize and design campaigns that deliver desired results for various target markets across different platforms. Research target audience and marketplace to ensure copy is accurate and effective. Prioritize multiple projects and deliver highly effective work. Edit the work of others effectively in order to achieve the best performing copy. Collaborate with team members at all levels to ensure projects are consistent with direct marketing best practices, brand guidelines, compliance, and overall project goals. Take responsibility for the success of the projects they work on. Qualifications A minimum of 7 years of experience developing highly creative environments. Agency experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing or business-related field. Possess a deep passion and understanding of modern marketing. Expert written, verbal and presentation skills. Must be results focused, detail-oriented, and be able to juggle multiple priorities in order to meet deadlines.
