Join National Heritage Academies (NHA) as a data analyst. This position will report to the director of business intelligence and will be responsible for meeting with different departments within human resources (people services) to understand business processes, gather business requirements, perform ad-hoc analyses, create solutions, and train end users. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for creating reports, dashboards, cubes, and websites using the organizations data warehouse. The data analyst will hold a dual role within NHA. Part of this role will be analytics driven, where the candidate will work with the People Services (Human Resources) department to understand their data and reporting needs and perform data exploration and ad-hoc analyses to support their business decisions. In the other half of this role, the candidate will use their knowledge and analyses of the People Services department's data needs to design, create, and implement reports and dashboards to support and enhance the data-driven decision making of the business users. These could include Tableau dashboards, PowerBI dashboards, Analysis Services cubes, and custom websites. Knowledge of these specific technologies isn't mandatory, but this individual should have strong SQL query writing skills. In this role you will work out of our corporate headquarters (Service Center) located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The NHA Service Center has over 400 team members in departments like admissions, talent acquisition, facilities, legal services, and many more working together to provide top level back-office support. Your Role Work closely with People Services internal departments to diagnose data needs Design, conduct and produce ad-hoc analyses Design and create reports for internal departments to enhance their decision-making processes Support team members on data visualization projects Handle change requests and enhancements to existing assets Requirements Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, data science, IT, or equivalent experience Strong T-SQL skills Experience with SQL Server & Management Studio Experience with analytics -- linear or logic regression, machine learning, etc. Interest in data visualization and reporting Experience with Tableau preferred Experience with data warehousing preferred Attention to detail: You will largely be responsible for the quality and accuracy of your own work.
