The Employee Engagement Analyst - Compensation, will assist in the administration of compensation programs by conducting studies and analyses, preparing recommendations and projections, data reports, and salary surveys. The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Employee Engagement department in other areas of customer service, training and supporting the CLN's. Essential Functions Implements wage and salary programs and ensures internal equity, external competitiveness, and accurate payment of City Schools? personnel. Conducts and participates in salary surveys regarding pay, policies, procedures, salary structures, and organization. Develops salary proposals and make recommendations regarding structure and grade modifications. Conducts salary studies, analyzes data, and prepares reports and projections for annual salary reviews and special needs. Assist with salary review request to investigate and determine findings up-to and including recommendations for salary and retroactive adjustments. Collects and prepares internal and market data to facilitate job classification and determination of appropriate pay grade assignment. Conducts organization studies and individual job analysis to determine appropriate classification and salary level according to compensation guidelines and policy. Responsible for more complex escalated matters including processing and reporting on areas such as Compensation, Benefits and Retirement. Performs administrative activities in support of assigned functional areas, (i.e. Certification, Compensation, Benefits, and Pre-Employment). Drafts and prepares correspondence and assists in the development and preparation of reports, schedules, flyers, brochures, videos, power point presentations and other related materials. Responsible for supporting assigned CLN under Charter Schools, with a caseload of 800 or more employees. This includes specific inquiries that could require research and additional time to resolve or provide support with other HC team members. Responsible for training other HC personnel on various aspects of Employee Engagement. Conducts internal salary equity salary studies and determines placement of employees on salary schedules. Researches and analyzes occupational data and position information and assists in the development of standardized job descriptions. Determines the posted salary range for City Schools' vacancies. Recommends procedural changes/improvements to supervisor. May serve on job evaluation and salary review committees. Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school board policies and the professional standards. Maximum Salary 78750.00 Minimum Salary 68250.00 Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Degree must be from an accredited college or institution. Three years of related experience in compensation and classification. A minimum of one year of experience analyzing market data and making recommendations, preferred. Other equivalent combinations of applicable education, training and experience that provide the knowledge, abilities and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered. Certification as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) desirable. Knowledge of the principles and practices of compensation and job classification. Ability to organize and analyze complex data. Knowledge of mathematical/statistical procedures. Skills in producing detailed and accurate calculations and reports. Interpersonal skills that ensure effective team building. Skills in organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks to meet deadlines. Ability to effectively apply mathematical principles to work situations. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in the use of technical computer applications, including MS Office, with upper level knowledge and use of Excel.
