Pansophic Learning is seeking a high energy and self-motivated Human Resources Director to support the national expansion of our early childhood education and K-12 public charter schools divisions by providing strong leadership in Human Resources and operations. The HR Director should be a dynamic individual who is motivated by working with a fun and driven team to build a leading education company. The ideal HR Director candidate will possess a high aptitude for learning and developing new systems and processes, is comfortable interfacing with Senior Executives and school staff alike, and is comfortable working in a deadline driven environment. Responsibilities Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the Human Resources department and shared services provided to internal clients. Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to senior leadership. Develop approaches for and manage the overall scope of various human resources projects, such as compensation benchmarking studies, employee handbook revisions, HR assessments and compliance audits. Work with corporate leadership to develop employee benefit programs including, but not limited to, medical, dental, long-term disability, life and accidental death insurance, flexible spending accounts, the 401(k) retirement program, and voluntary benefits. Work directly with department heads, school based and regional leaders to advise on employee relations matters; partner with senior leadership on risks to department/organization. Consult with legal counsel as appropriate; serve as primary interface with employment related claims. Maintain web-based and in-house HRIS (human resource information system) records along with employee files. Conduct research and review of organizational trends including analysis of HRIS data. Develop and manage processes and supporting documentation for onboarding, performance management, off-boarding and other functions. Partner with Payroll team to ensure that the bi-weekly payroll process is completed accurately and on a timely basis. Develop and manage processes for responding to claims for unemployment, workers' compensation, disability, and leaves of absence. For existing business and potential acquisitions, analyze HR cost structures, turnover rates, benefits programs, and other key areas Conduct FLSA, EEO, and other employment audits Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree in business related field preferred SHRM-SCP and/or SPHR certification preferred 10+ years generalist experience to include employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, onboarding, employee relations, and training & development. Exemplary customer service skills; Demonstrated success in supporting senior management and building relationships across all levels in the organization. Outstanding communication, change management, and project management skills on large transformation related projects Experience leading the design and execution of communication strategies and plans for new initiatives impacting a large employee population Knowledge and experience leading workforce analysis and developing strategies for employee potential career development needs Ideal candidate is a self-starter who thinks on his/her feet and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Strong time management skills and ability to deftly manage multiple priorities.
