Knowledge to Practice is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. This position reports into the Controller. Responsibilities & Duties Process and pay vendor invoices, coordinating with operating teams to ensure all vendor expenses are captured and supported by proper documentation. Manage credit card expense reporting and reconciliation, ensuring proper receipts and support documentation is received. Prepare and send customer invoices, per the contract terms. Manage collections of accounts receivable. Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check and credit card transactions. Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations. Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts. Assist the controller in closing the books within 5-days of end of month and developing the monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Prepare the semi-monthly payroll as well as manage employee set-up within the payroll system. Professional Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field. Five years of experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks. Highly organized and detailed-oriented. Good problem-solving and time management skills. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Ability to independently and as part of a team. 3-5 years in a SaaS business with a go-to-market model that spans e-commerce to B2E. Start-up experience preferred.
