The Head of Product is instrumental in this mission: discover, understand, appeal to, convert and engage new and existing learners. SoloLearn is seeking a senior, entrepreneurial-minded product professional to drive SoloLearn's overall user value and retention and shape our learner experience while directly impacting the bottom line. The person in this role is passionate about making learning an invigorating and empowering experience, and is responsible for generating revenue via paid subscriptions, upgrades, and product launches. With responsibility for team leadership and outcomes, this role works collaboratively with Marketing, Engineering, and Data Science experts to achieve business goals, and will build and manage a team of product and graphic designers, product owners, and customer and community support staff. Alongside an international team you build from scratch, be an instrumental contributor toward shaping a platform that learners feel is built just for them, and a brand experience they want to tell their friends about. Responsibilities: Identify and capitalize on opportunities to drive learner value and business growth. Work with the Leadership team to determine priority and business objectives -- participate in decision-making about the key economic drivers for future releases. Define and evangelize the vision for product features that support user growth. Develop a deep understanding of the user's product use, engagement, and desires and advocate relentlessly for the best mobile and desktop experience on their behalf through market research, experimentation, user testing, and data analysis. Build the product roadmap and work closely with a variety of stakeholders and cross-functional teams to execute the roadmap by planning and prioritizing objectively. Ensure thorough specs are written and communicated for new product features. Drive growth and retention via product strategy, vision evangelism, and programs that fuel subscriptions, engagement, and retention. Deeply partner with Marketing, Engineering and Data Science to delight our learners and achieve business goals and identify the biggest opportunities for revenue growth. Deliver innovative products to enhance learners' experience as they accelerate their investment in their activities. Go to market in stages, starting with a well-reasoned MVP, then following up with iterations to improve and enhance based on customer response. Drive product experiments, analysis and insights to inform the product, engineering, content, and marketing roadmap; define, develop, and successfully launch new features and products that serve our audiences. Own the end-to-end customer journey to ensure our learners' experience is a compelling, coherent, and consistent one. This includes a deep focus on the customer purchase journey, through activation, onboarding, retention and expansion. Leadership of the Product Owner team, contributing to Vision and Roadmap, and actively participating in backlog refinement and release planning preparation. Coordinate consumer releases across multiple platforms and multiple departments. Serve as the "content authority" for the release train. Responsible for defining and prioritizing the Program Backlog. Work with Product Owners to optimize feature delivery to the customers in balance with the company's technical and economic objectives. Serve as customer proxy, and manages all engagement and feedback with our learners. Participate in regular release planning, release management, and solution validation. Ensure the maintenance of the Product Roadmap and the Backlog Refinement process. Work with system architects to understand architectural epics. Requirements: 5+ years experience in full customer lifecycle Product Management for mobile consumer products, with several life-cycles of launching and iterating on a portfolio of products. Experience with consumer education, mobile, and subscription-based software strongly preferred. A proven record of driving business results Experience working with product teams to design and build new features that deliver results Experience scoping and synthesizing results from qualitative and quantitative research Experience in managing the full customer lifecycle, from awareness to acquisition to retention Ultra-collaborative, and strong team builder; proven track record of building teams that love to work together who produce innovative, world class results. Demonstrated experience conducting qualitative and quantitative customer research to deeply understand learners' needs and transform that into product strategy and requirements. Firm grasp of how people learn Experience building across platforms (desktop, mobile web, app) Demonstrated ability to drive decisions with deep analysis of data. Self-sufficiency with to pull, manipulate, and analyze data. Experience defining and running an efficient product development process, including backlog management and prioritization, roadmap communication, sprint planning, and triage.
