The Opportunity The Data and Compliance Specialist will support the configuration and management of the Student Information System (SIS), including the creation and distribution of reports and support of data cleaning and ETL processes. In addition, the specialist will serve as tier one helpdesk support for SIS endusers and work closely with schools to execute registration, scheduling, records management, grade reporting, transcripting and other key processes. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with schools and SSP stakeholders to produce accurate, reliable, high-quality data for a variety of stakeholders including funders, district leadership, school leadership, KIPP Foundation and business managers. Teach others to create and use data reports that show student demographics and academic progress against a variety of measures. Provide first tier help desk support in all areas of the SIS for all SSP and school-based staff. Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreement and meet Key Performance Indicators as determined by IT Leadership. Work directly with school-based staff in the use of the electronic gradebook, including training, system permissions, program analysis, system configuration and generation of report cards/transcripts. Provide training for school-based administrators, office staff, SSP members, and teachers on the use of SIS modules and data collection/reporting systems. Develop procedural manuals, videos, and screencasts for SIS modules and data collection systems. Assist in design and implementation processes for data retrieval and submission to data warehouse/ data reporting tools. Support data cleaning process and migration to consolidated KIPP TX SIS. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 2 years experience with information or ERP systems Proficiency with SQL required Proficiency with Excel required Proficiency with COGNOS or Crystal preferred Experience with Zendesk preferred Training experience preferred Customer service experience preferred Compensation and Benefits Salary is based on years of experience, degree of education, and level of expertise.
