CraftMark Bakery is seeking a Director of Training & Development to join our team in Indianapolis, IN to build a best-in-class training department. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the Director of Training & Development is responsible for leading and growing the Talent Development team. The Director of Training & Development will partner with leadership and all departments to ascertain what knowledge, skills and abilities are required for each role in the Company and will be responsible for designing and leading a multi-faceted training and development program to grow those competencies within our workforce. Design and deliver a comprehensive learning and development strategy and programs. Manage and oversee the development and implementation of course training materials to reflect current operating processes and procedures to include operator training, existing and new hire certification and CraftMark Academy content. Lead subject-matter experts and bakery leaders to provide expertise in curriculum design, content and setting learning objectives. Must be able to organize content in a meaningful way to teach employees crucial knowledge, skills and abilities required for job success. Drive high employee engagement and identify strategies to retain top talent. Partner with leadership and all departments to develop and maintain a repository of training. Create a material refresh process for updates based on feedback and industry changes/trends. Use various instructional methods to deliver content, including lecture, demonstrations, small group activities, videos and other methodologies as appropriate. Demonstrate clear understanding of and adherence to compliance and legal standards and regulatory processes relative to technical and procedural education delivery and materials. Implement and schedule training programs, follow up with stakeholders to ensure completion and documentation of scheduled training programs. Serve as a strong and resourceful leader; be able to craft creative solutions with changing business needs and resources. Bachelor's degree in Organization/Leadership Development, Adult Learning, or related field Master's degree preferred. 5-10 years of relevant work experience in HR, OD or Learning & Development. Previous training experience in a manufacturing environment required. Proven experience leading large-scale training and leadership development project linked to business objectives. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience using Learning Management Systems, specifically Alchemy, is preferred.
