Accountabilities: Ensure 100% Enrollment on the First Day of School (FDOS) Execute student recruitment strategies that target families with school-aged children within a 5-mile radius of the assigned campus Attend community events and informational fairs to inform families and promote brand awareness of IDEA Public Schools. Execute off-site presentations to daycares, housing authorities, community centers and other community organizations Participate in neighborhood walks and door-to-door presentations in neighborhoods near IDEA schools. The CFO plays a critical role in providing leadership, oversight, direction, guidance, innovation, strategic planning, training, and quality assurance related to all fiscal operations of the agency. Preference given for an advanced degree with major coursework in management, finance, public relations or a related field.   Experience: At least ten (10) years of experience in successful, progressively responsible fiscal management.   Substitutions: An advanced degree may substitute for two years of required experience.   OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: A proven record of successfully leading organization-wide changes and financial process re-engineering; managing large, cross-functional teams and building consensus; and superior project and time management with the ability to advance multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines. Position Summary: NYU’s Teacher Residency was created in 2016 by the faculty in NYU Steinhardt’s Department of Teaching & Learning. We currently partner with school districts and charter organizations in NY, CA, FL, and CT to prepare the next generation of teachers for our partnering communities through a one year teacher residency. Participants spend a year learning to teach embedded in a school while earning a Master of Arts in Teaching degree taught by Steinhardt faculty. Coursework is delivered online and aspiring teachers are supported through intensive coaching and mentoring by NYU Steinhardt faculty and experienced teachers in our partnering school communities. The goal of NYU’s Teacher Residency is to ensure graduates are ready to be effective teachers from Day 1 in the classroom. As the Director of Strategic Partnerships you will join a small and growing team responsible for driving the growth strategy for NYU’s Teacher Residency (NYU TR) .  The ideal candidate has knowledge of human capital needs in school districts or charter organizations, believes in the value of partnerships between higher education and school communities, and has experience working to support schools to find and prepare great teachers. All clinic staff report directly to the campus Assistant Principal of Operations (APO.) All medical and compliance for the district is directed to the Director of Health and Wellness. Accountabilities: Health Services Provide direct care utilizing professional triage skills, basic care, and established school health protocols. Manage campus clinic independently which can serve up to 1,500 students. Serve as a health advocate for students. Notify parents of accidents or illnesses and secure medical care for students in emergency cases. Coordinate management system to administer medications to students at school. Establish and implement effective procedures for mandatory screening programs. Make referrals as necessary. Consultation Serve as a health liaison between school, physicians, parents, and community. Assess student problems and make appropriate referrals working with students, teachers, parents, and medical and health care professionals, as needed. Participate in health-related school committees focused on student health and wellness. Collaborate with other professionals regarding implementation of health-related Individual Education Plan (IEP) items. Participate in assessment and reporting of suspected child abuse. Make home visits to help with student health problems as necessary with permission of principal. Communicate regularly with the Assistant Principal of Operations, regional health services manager, school counselor, teachers, parents, food services staff, and other staff regarding health services issues. Administration Collect, review and enter immunization records. Ensure records are compliant within first 30 days of school and remain compliant throughout the school year. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and electronic reports, records, and other documents required, including clinic visits, student action plans, doctor's orders, etc. Request supplies and equipment needed to maintain clinic inventory. Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, Texas Department of Health rule, State Board of Education rule, and board policy in health services area. Report potential health and safety hazards to the campus Assistant Principal of Operations. Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations. Professional Development Maintain certification as a CNA or RMA, maintain certification in CPR/First Aid as well as certification as state-approved vision, hearing, spinal, and AN health screener. Role Mission: The Transportation Assistant Manager will assist the Campus Transportation Manager to coordinate and oversee all transportation needs at his/her campus. The Assistant Manager will work towards learning, adapting and surpassing the goals set forth by the department and includes but not limited to the following: coordinating school bus routes, scheduling and learn daily operations of buses and bus drivers. Ensure to follow all federal, state, and local regulations and applicable laws, train and develop the usage of software for mapping, routing, and services that ensure the fleet is running efficiently.
