This position will report directly to the Educational Tech Department Manager and will be responsible for various projects throughout the summer. In This Role You will make an impact Gain valuable hands on experience Be paid Your Role The Educational Department at NHA is uniquely poised to integrate technology for instruction. In this Instructional Technology Internship, you will support teachers by creating end-user documentation for accessing and troubleshooting digital curricular tools aligned tightly to our academic strategy. Potential programs you would be creating resources for are: aimswebPlus, STEMscopes, and/or McGraw Hill. This internship will provide you experience in collaborating with cross-functional academic and I.T. teams, as the role of an instructional technology leader does at the district level. You will also have the opportunity to visit some of our schools in Grand Rapids to get a feel for what our schools are like and be able to talk to teachers about their experience with these programs.. You will get exposure to the multiple perspectives and teams needed to implement and sustain instructional technology solutions. Requirements Education: o Pre-service teacher, preferred o Accepted into college of education, preferred Skills: o Intrinsic motivation to improve support for classroom teachers who utilize technology for instruction o Desire to learn new skills and tools and apply to internship work o Self-starter who can initiative to engage internal teams, school staff and vendor partners to coordinate meetings and obtain information o Able work with teams and/or independently; as project phases progress o Willingness to collaborate to understand departmental priorities and balance with needs of teachers o Strong grammar and writing skills Experience: o Work in K-12 school setting - field experience / practicums To learn more about our core values, please click here .
