POSITION: O365/SharePoint Manager REPORTS TO: Director of Business Analysis & Adoption LOCATION: Houston, Texas COMPENSATION: $57,423 - $74,650 THE CHALLENGE & OPPORTUNITY Across the nation, only half of all students from low-income communities’ graduate from high school and only 10% earn a college degree. Even though 84% of their students are economically disadvantaged, YES Prep provides evidence that different outcomes are possible. Ninety-four (94%) of YES Prep alumni matriculate to college within one year and alumni like Eddie Zapata are earning their college degrees at four times the rate of their peers with similar socioeconomic backgrounds. How do they do this? Each of YES Prep’s 19 campuses serves 6th-12th graders like Monique Bowie . Students typically enter YES Prep one or more grade levels behind but quickly find themselves on a different life trajectory as a result of transformative relationships with teachers and leaders and access to excellent educational opportunities. As the first minority-majority city, Houston’s schools cannot keep up with demand from students like Eddie and Monique. Houston is the 4th largest city (on track to become the 3rd), and this booming population translates into 7,000 families on YES Prep’s waitlist. YES Prep’s student enrollment is estimated to grow 31% between now and 2023 (from 11,600 currently to 17,000). THE OPPORTUNITY YES Prep needs a dynamic and inclusive O365/SharePoint Manager to make our mission a reality. The O365/SharePoint Manager manages all aspects of the Office 365 environment, including availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, and security of the portal. This position plays an integral part in the development of strategies for optimal use of SharePoint, Teams, and other collaborative tools within the Office 365 environment. The O365/SharePoint Manager must have the ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new, ambiguous projects that will be industry defining. This position requires a solid technical background, and the candidate should be customer-focused with a passion for information technology. The O365/SharePoint Manager will increase the organization’s digital dexterity and efficiency by doing the following: Gaining a deep understanding of customer experience, identifying and filling gaps utilizing O365 Admin Center to conduct necessary actions to support, administering, and troubleshooting O365 issues; Developing, configuring and maintaining document libraries, enterprise lists, and site collections. Performing typical system administrative activities such as site creation, user training, restoring and issue resolution; Providing guidance and support to the organization, training, policy recommendations, and enabling our teams to deliver scalable end-to-end O365 resources onboarding and support services (i.e., ensuring smooth, quick, and efficient onboarding experience to Office 365). Delivering direct training to new hires and provide train-the-trainer support to enable a scalable approach to empower teams; this might include the collecting, creating, and curating of training collateral in various formats; Providing End User support with Office 365 issues; Reviewing, analyzing, monitoring and improving the current Office 365 SharePoint environment; Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to users; Knowing how to use Microsoft Office 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), Microsoft Teams, and One Drive for Business; Willing to provide support in other areas as needed. THE MUST HAVES Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution Previous experience creating and managing site creation in a SharePoint environment with Office 365 or SharePoint 2016. At least one-year experience configuring and working with a SharePoint Online environment in Office 365 or SharePoint 2016.
