What will you do all day? At NMSI, our people mean everything to us; they are the lifeblood of the organization. NMSI is looking for a Manager, Data and Analytics to ensure that teams at NMSI have expert guidance to strategically drive their work. This person will provide strategic expertise to design and implement continuous improvement work across the organization, using superior communication skills to translate complex quantitative results and analyses to meaningful actionable recommendations for teams. In addition, this position will design and implement tools and reports in response to team needs to support data-driven decision making. What are the details? The Manager, Data and Analytics will work with the Director, Data & Analytics to create, codify and communicate consistent data practices across the organization. As part of this, you will: Independently design, implement and manage evaluation plans for internal teams with support of Director, Data & Analytics Manage needs of supported client teams in collaboration with rest of Data & Analytics team Translate findings into actionable insights, create deliverables and present to internal and external audiences Ensure accuracy in all Data & Analytics deliverables – you are the last line of defense against data and calculation error or miscalculation Document clearly all data sources and metric calculations to ensure transparency, clarity, consistency, and replicability In collaboration with rest of Data & Analytics team, design, build and deploy stakeholder surveys in Qualtrics Apply consistent visualization practices according to Data & Analytics team principles and organizational business rules Leverage NMSI technology and software to create compelling visualizations, reports and tools aligned to team strategic needs Strategically manage competing priorities to deliver on critical team goals, both long-term projects and short-term data support needs Train and educate teams on existing and new reporting features and support broader data use skill building across the organization Continually research and recommend new business reporting capabilities and products to leverage new visual displays, format and end user capabilities Collaborate with others, develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize information efficiency and data quality Other duties as assigned What are we looking for? Who you are: You have excellent communication and possess a strong quantitative background with 3-5 years of relevant experience. You have experience with data extraction and manipulation tools. Education. You have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree in quantitative field preferred). Organized & Productive. You possess strong organizational and time management skills. You can handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress is required Good Judgement. You possess excellent judgment and discretion. Strong Communicator. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Data Expert. You have a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and data accuracy with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and distribute data. You possess superior skills with Excel, Word and Outlook; data analysis software / coding experience (R, Stata, SPSS, etc.), SQL database experience and BI tools as well as ability to learn other tools as necessary Problem-Solver. You have a demonstrated ability and desire to trouble shoot and problem solve for the unexpected situation. Relationship Builder & Flexible. You have a knack for building relationships quickly.
