JOB TITLE: Wayside Schools – Talent Recruiting Coordinator Job-Type: Full time Contract Days: 220 Days Reports to: Director of Staff and Scholar Services Location: Wayside Schools, Administrative Offices Company Website: http://www.waysideschools.org Salary Range: $ 40,000 -$45,000 -Depending on qualifications and experience ABOUT WAYSIDE SCHOOLS: Wayside Schools is an open-enrollment, tuition-free Pre-K3-12th grade public charter school network that provides over 2,100 scholars across its five South Austin schools with a rigorous International Baccalaureate education. Since 2012, Wayside schools has striven to empower historically underserved scholars, providing them with the instructional experiences, academics skills, intellectual habits and social and emotional competencies needed to become graduates from four-year colleges and universities, providing them with the access and opportunities they need to narrate their own futures and positively impact and empower the families and communities to which they belong. JOB GOAL : This position is responsible for leading Wayside’s recruiting and talent acquisition methods and strategies. OVERVIEW: The Talent Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, attracting, selecting and on-boarding new employees to fill open positions and meet Wayside's workforce needs and goals.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
Valid Human Resource certification
A minimum of 3-5-years of experience in recruiting and talent management or similar role in education/academic organization or similar field
Skills and Mindsets
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Passion for HR methods, including branding, recruitment, marketing, onboarding
Familiarity and experience with HR tools such as Newtown and Frontline
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a good command of the English language and vocabulary.
Highly skilled ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, problem solve and navigate through ambiguity
High level of flexibility and openness to change
Desire to serve as a team member and work collaboratively to serve campus community
Ability to exercise excellent judgment in decision-making
Ability to work in a fast-paced educational environment & be part of a developing high-performance ops team to provide best practices of operational excellence, specifically related to the business operations of public charter schools in Texas

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Strategy
Develop sustainable recruiting strategy based on our goals and needs
Develop recruitment goals and objectives aligned with strategy
Implement and determine the effectiveness and success of current recruiting plans and strategies
Plan Wayside’s annual recruiting fair
Attend external job fairs
Build talent networks to find qualified active and passionate candidates
Use multi-channel approach to recruit
Plan and implement a Recruitment Marketing and Employer Branding strategy to attract high quality applicants
Identify key recruiting KPIs
Source potential candidates using organizational hiring tools
Search resume databases for the most fit candidates
Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
Post and track jobs and candidate activity using Newton software
Conduct and/or assist with phone screenings as needed
Advise and consult with hiring teams regarding candidates as they move through the hiring process
Work with chosen candidates to fulfill background and fingerprint processes
Coordinate document collection and review: I9s, service records, transcripts, certifications, etc. Ensure proper and current documentation exists at all times.
Coordinate on-boarding efforts, both at the start of each school year and for midyear hires
Coordinate employment separation activities in collaboration with ACOMs and other appropriate campus personnel, including returned inventory collection, service records transfer, etc.
Conduct exit interviews and provide meaningful data analysis
Operate within and manage the assigned budget for each of the above HR functions
“Owner/Manager” of Newton software, build expertise of self and of other staff
Adhere to laws, rules and regulations enforced Federally, at the State level, or locally
Adhere to personal data privacy regulations
Participate in Network and campus meetings as assigned
Update and develop internal policies and procedures related to HR
Screen, hire, and onboard substitute teachers
Organize and implement the substitute teacher use system
Prepare a report for supervisor on a weekly basis for the tasks completed or in progress
Prepare a report monthly for the school board outlining top priorities, high level ongoing activities and initiatives, and quantifiable data
Ensure a job description for every position is developed and maintained to be accurate at all times
Coordinate the annual employee resigning event
Master HROS, Wayside’s electronic onboarding system
Other duties as assigned

Participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills;
Demonstrate knowledge, and support of Wayside Schools mission, values, standards, policies and procedures, confidentiality standards, Employee Handbook expectations and code of ethical behavior as stated in the Handbook;
Assist in ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws, local board policies, administrative guidelines, and the Texas Educators’ Code of Ethics;
Serve as a role-model for Wayside School’s colleagues, students, staff, and parents, as part of a high-performing campus ops team, by conducting self in a professional manner at all times;
POLICY and REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
Attend training and complete research to understand applicable state statutes, local policies/procedures and federal & state compliance requirements
Wayside Schools handbooks and procedures manuals: assist in working with administrators to check and assist with adherence in all areas. Suggest changes to documents as necessary.

This position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The office hours are 7:30- a.m. to 4:30 p.m., however, the Principal from time to time may work an extended schedule, including weekends and evenings according to demands of the role and tasks.
