This is an 8 hours per day/10 months (spread pay over 12 months) long term temporary assignment for the 23/24 school year. Sawyer Woods Elementary School serves a stable population of students from kindergarten through sixth grade. We are located in the southeast corner of the Kent School District near Black Diamond. Our building is designed to house about 530 students in 23 classrooms. Our students use our computer lab, library, music room/stage, large gym, and multi-purpose areas. Special education services are available. We have a strong corps of volunteers and active and involved parents. We implement several building-wide programs including study skills, discipline, and a structured approach to writing instruction, and building writing portfolios.
