Job Description The Town of Needham is seeking qualified individuals to fill multiple part-time Crossing Guard (Traffic Supervisor) roles. Reporting to the Police Department's Community Service Officer, the Crossing Guard will direct and control vehicular and pedestrian traffic at an assigned location for a prescribed period of time to ensure the safety of school children and the safe, orderly flow of vehicular traffic. These part-time duties are performed during the 10-month school year from September to June. Crossing Guards will be trained by the Community Service Officer in Massachusetts Traffic Laws related to traffic control, pedestrian safety, school zones, and other related laws and regulations.
