Under the direction of the Lead Driver, the candidate will support safe and efficient operations of student transportation. Essential Functions Drive a school bus for the purpose of transporting passengers over scheduled routes to and from school, extra-curricular events and/or field trips as assigned in a safe and timely manner. Assist students and other passengers for the purpose of providing safe loading and unloading practices from buses including both emergency situations and normal transport. Advise students and other passengers of appropriate behavior for the purpose of reinforcing regulations and maintaining passenger safety. Conduct emergency evacuation drills. Continuously scan all engine/equipment gauges for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of the vehicle. Clean assigned vehicles daily (e.g. bodily fluids, spills, dust, sweep, mop, windows/headlights/mirrors/windshield cleaned, scrub graffiti, scrape gum, etc.)
