The Public Schools of Brookline is looking for a piano accompanist for our a number of our grade 5 and grade 6, 7 and 8 mixed choruses. Qualified pianist have the ability to sight read complex scores and choral arrangements, play with feeling and support a group. Our choruses range in size from approximately 30 to 80 students and each chorus has a director who will supply the music and direction for the accompanist. Classes meet for either 45 or 50 minutes, 5th grade choruses meets once per week and 6-8 grade chorus meets twice per week. Pay is a stipend of $800 for the school year for a class that meets once per week and $1600 for the school year for a class that meets twice per week. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree OR Three years' experience accompanying choirs, instrumental ensembles, and soloists. Sightreading, arranging, transposition, and improvisational skills.
