The Postive Alternatives to Student Suspensions program meets with students and families during non-school hours (typically Tuesday and Thursday evenings and again on Saturday mornings). Classes are generally held once per month, not to exceed a total of eight hours in duration. Non- Exempt General Definition of Work PASS (Positive Alternatives to Student Suspension) Facilitator delivers social-emotional/psychoeducational content to promote safe and healthy decision making for indicated students and their parents/legal guardians. Students in the PASS program have been referred due to serious violations of the student code of conduct. The person in this position must be knowledgeable of health, mental health issues and substance abuse issues for adolescents, have an understanding of local trends on high risk behaviors, be able to deliver curriculum content and have flexibility to address emerging needs as they are presented.
