JOB DESCRIPTION School Custodian Directly Responsible To : Building Principal The dome custodian shall work cooperatively with the supervisor / building principal to ensure an efficient and orderly cleaning program. GENERAL DUTIES The custodian shall be responsible for the cleanliness of the assigned area at his or her site. This includes, but is not limited to the following: DAILY TASKS Cleaning of chalk boards and trays. Vacuum carpets. Dust mop and damp mop as needed - tile and hardwood floors. General dusting - teacher's desks, cabinets, window sills. Empty all waste baskets. Close and lock windows. Turn off lights and lock doors. DAILY TASKS - RESTROOMS: Cleans and disinfect wash basins, toilet bowls and stalls. Clean mirror, soap and towel dispensers. Keep amply supply of paper towels, toilet paper and soap in dispensers. Empty waste baskets. Wet mop floors. PERIODIC TASKS Strip, seal and wash tile and hardwood floors. Buff floors....
