OPPORTUNITY The Special Education Aide classification is designed to serve students whose instruction is identified and specified in an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Section 504 Service Plan (SP). These students have learning, communication, physical, and/or mild to moderate disabilities or other impairments, such as emotional disturbances. Incumbents in this class perform various instructional tasks in such areas as reading, writing, and mathematics.
