SUMMARY : Under general supervision, assists in any area of food preparation in the school kitchen. The Cook is to assist the Manager in any area of food preparation, assume responsibility for operation of the cafeteria in the absence of the Manager, assist in maintaining the kitchen in a sanitary and orderly condition, and does related work as required. Hours: Monday - Friday, student days, covering shifts starting as early as 7:15 a.m. and ending as late as 1:30 p.m. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Prepares baked goods, meat dishes and other foods required in accordance with kitchen procedures Serves on the production line, the serving line or as the cashier as directed. Assists in setting up and the display of the serving line for food service. Assists in cleaning and storing equipment and food supplies as directed by the Manager.
