Job Description The School Nutrition Worker is responsible for the following: All assigned aspects of meal production, service, sanitation, and safety. Prepare food for meal service following the menu, using standardized recipes Operate equipment in a safe manner (equipment includes, but is not limited to: convection ovens, steamers, steam-jacketed kettles, steam tables, tilting skillets, microwave ovens, ranges, slicers, and can openers) Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines: Use proper food handling techniques Serve meals to students and staff Refill serving line as needed between lunches Assist in end-of-day clean up, including but not limited to: washing/sanitizing pots, pans, dishes, silverware, tables, and all other equipment as necessary Manage cash drawer.
