JOB PURPOSE The Corporate Accounting Manager reports to VP, Corporate Controller and is responsible for overall accounting management of several corporate entities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating work of a number of accounting associates in all aspects of accounting including general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable. 2. Responsible for review of all journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation and inter-company transactions for multiple entities. 3. Responsible for preparation of monthly financial statements and various detailed analyses. 4. Work directly with Controller to prepare consolidated financial statements and operating results. 5. Assists with difficult accounting work on involved projects and problems. 6. Manages forecast and budget processes and performs actual to budget variance analysis for assigned entities. 7. Works closely with independent auditors during the annual financial audit by providing supporting documentation and explanations of transactions and processes. 8. Assists department(s) in preparing proposals and contracts, agenda items, and supporting information; explains policies and procedures; and gives advice on accounting issues. 9. Assists with special studies that require data compilation; analyzes and interprets information in oral and written presentations. 10. Works within standard operating procedures. 11. Significant experience with databases and spreadsheet programs and use of accounting information systems. 6. Ability to work with large amounts of data, to interpret financial records, detect errors and prepare financial reports. 7. Organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities. 8. Establish a set of operating principles and routines; driving projects to completion, while insisting on highest level of quality. 9. Ability to consistently be at work, to arrive on time, to follow instructions, to respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance. 10. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. BA/BS Degree in Accounting must. 5-10 years of professional experience in all aspects of accounting or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. 2. CPA preferred. Proven supervisory experience. 3. Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities. 4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), QuickBooks, Student Information System (SIS) and accounting software. 5. Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality. 6.
