Job Description Plans, directs and supervises all functions of the School Food Service program, including staffing, program planning and accountability, resource allocation and management, procurement, financial management, facilities planning, nutrition education and food safety and marketing. Ensures compliance with all policies, regulations and standards established by the State Department of Education, the USDA and the District. Develops and implements policies and procedures specific to the food service program. Supervises the cafeteria managers and support staff; supervisory duties include instructing; assigning, reviewing and planning work of others; maintaining standards; coordinating activities; selecting new employees; acting on employee problems; and recommending employee transfers, promotions, discipline and discharge.
