Job Description POSITION PURPOSE: Under the supervision of the Department's Special Education Director, this position is responsible for providing case management support for Special Education Teacher caseloads. This includes collaborating with Special Education Teacher for student assessment, drafting student IEPs, meeting coordination, attendance, facilitation, paperwork completion and processing, and records management (audit files and student management computer system). The Special Education Case Manager will work closely with the instructional personnel for students with disabilities including speech and language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, school psychologists, school counselors, and social workers to determine eligibility, placement, and programming for special education services.
