Job Description POSITION PURPOSE: District Lead Mentors as part of the District Mentoring Team develop Beaufort County's Induction Program that provides teachers with comprehensive guidance and assistance throughout the school year, as well as provide teachers with formal written feedback on their strengths and weaknesses relative to state standards for teaching effectiveness. Job Description District Mentor Teacher Position Type: Certified - Part Time POSITION PURPOSE: Part-time District Mentors support beginning teachers and assist them in developing strategies for classroom management, implementing instructional strategies, and using targeted assessment. District Mentors also support Induction teachers all aspects of their professional development by providing formal written feedback on areas of reinforcement and areas of refinement based on the SCTS 4.0 Rubric.
